🎓 Why Pakistani students use TurnitinMy
Pakistan is one of the countries where students search for Turnitin most, and the reason is always the same: your university has Turnitin, but you only get to see the score after you submit. A pre-check lets you fix citation problems first. Being based in Malaysia, we are in nearly the same time zone as Pakistan (PKT (UTC+5)), so a report ordered tonight is back tonight.
📏 Similarity limits at universities in Pakistan
HEC plagiarism policy requires MS/MPhil and PhD theses to have a similarity index below 19%, with no single source above 5%. Supervisors typically want to see a Turnitin report before the thesis goes to the external examiner.
Commonly checked by students at: NUST, LUMS, University of the Punjab, University of Karachi, COMSATS University. Always confirm the exact limit with your supervisor or department handbook — this page describes what students typically report.
